So. Yep. This is my
Variant Cover for
Avengers #25. Once again Justin Ponser on colors.
Eh?
EH?
How bout a slightly
WIDER look like this.
Recognize that hand holding that bow? Recognize anything else?
Have you put it together yet? Literally. Have you put it together yet?
I'll just leave you with:
To be continued...
So it's the next cover after Avengers 3 one, which will be united to the next two variant, isn't it? Soo goooood
ReplyDeleteYou got it. It will end up being a 180° turn.
DeleteI was a bit disappointed that you didn't follow through with your original plans for #4-6, so I'm really glad you've figured out how to make them work now. Marvel really need to put out the complete image as a massive poster (unless you've got plans to come back up the other side and complete the full 360).
ReplyDeleteYou know, I need to go back and look at the comments on my entry's related to the 1-3 covers, but it was after reading one of those comments that I realized that it could be done and how to do it.
DeleteA massive poster would be so cool. If they don't make one, I might just make one for myself.
As for the 360... I don't think so, but then, I didn't think I'd do the 180... Maybe in another year.
HUZZAH! So you'll be doing two more to finish it up or even more than that? SO glad you're able to complete this.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jim. Yeah. two more, for a full 180° turn and it's actually all done. Wait till you see it. If you pan from left to right across it the effect is really cool. It was exciting to work on it.
DeleteLooks like good ol Corvus didnt learn from last time huh? Whos your favorite member of the Cull Obsidian Dust?
ReplyDeleteDid you just call me "Dust"?.. I'm cool with it.
DeleteI liked drawing Corvus acting. But I like the design of Proxima Midnight.
I loved the first three covers and love your take on the avengers. Glad your continuing the 180 spin covers. Would love to see more covers like this added for when new members arrive on the team but i think I’m pushing my luck haha.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't a bad idea. I could see coming back to this in another year and going another 90 degrees. Then doing the full 360. I have thought of it. I could see it. I kinda doubt it will happen, but it is possible. We'll see.
DeleteBad ass Dustin. I'm still amazed how you can do such gorgeous backgrounds and NOT use tools like SketchUp, etc.. I can appreciate the craftsmanship in that.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm not sure you can do this kind of perspective work in SketchUp… but I wouldn't know.
