Entry 267: Preview The Infinity Gauntlet #1

What you see here are the first three pages of The Infinity Gauntlet #1

I'll just leave it at that.

Actually, I do want to point out that the young girl, whose name is Keeley, is wearing a Beelze Bee t-shirt drawn by Ben Bates. What and who is Beelze Bee you ask. Beelze Bee is a comic concept Ben Bates and I have been developing. It will be a totally unique kind of comic. The actual name of Beelze Bee was created by our buddy Ben Dewey, who threw out the name as a joke, but Ben Bates heard it and thought, "no, I got an idea for that."

For more about Beelze Bee check out this stuff from Ben Bates' benbatesart.blogspot.com/2015/02/beelze-bee

  1. Off-topic: When did the connecting covers for Avengers #44 & New Avengers #33 morph into a wrap cover for Avengers #44 only?
Lots of confused customers in the San Diego area, and I don't think they're buying my made-up reasons.
(And, yes, I know it wasn't your call.)

    1. This is the first I'm hearing about it. I didn't know they did that... I don't know. I can only assume it's because they thought the work I did just wasn't good enough to be two separate covers. When they saw it they were like, "Oh no. This sucks. What are we going to do?"... That's what's in my head anyway.

    2. Well, I think it's a terrific image & it looks great as a wrap cover in the final analysis.
Also, I have the promo poster of the entire image hanging on the wall behind the cash register in my store.
      So there, Marvel.

    3. There's a poster? That's cool. Wonder how I can get one of those... I really want a poster of the 180 turn covers I did for them. I've considered making a print of it myself.

    4. Unreal. They should be comping you on this stuff. They sent retailers a promo (folded) version of the Avengers/New Avengers images in early April.
Here's the link to the retail listing for it:

On the off chance you can't get one, I'd be happy to send you the one I've got. Kinda hard for me to wrap my mind around the idea that the artist of the piece wasn't sent a copy of his own work (for hire, or not.)
