(I may not get back to you right away, but I do keep track of the

commission work. If you're going to a Convention that I'll be attending,
contact me before the show to get on my commission list for the show.)

Do you sell any of your original art? If so, where can I view the pieces for sale.
ReplyDeleteThanks
~DD
I am not currently selling any original art. Eventually I'm sure I will start selling it, and when I do the information will be clearly stated here on my blog. I really appreciate your interest.
DeleteWhat would the general cost be for a commission be, out of curiosity?

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your work when reading The SHIELD HC. Fantastic art. I haven't read much about you or your influences but I thought the artwork (particularly the faces) looked very cool with their Pre-Raphaelite (or Barry Windsor-Smith!) look. Just saw your Thing Thing pages and for a European it's very nice to see that Hergé has still a bit of influence around the world, and in a Marvel Comics, that is!
As you seem to be a Moebius' fan like me, the organization I work for -- the International Committee of the Red Cross -- had the honor to have this fantastic artist drawing an entire comics that is distributed to civilians as well as armed carriers around the world. It's translated in many languages -- here in the Philippines we have a tagalog version! You can find it as a pdf file to download or even order a printed copy at this address : http://www.icrc.org/eng/resources/documents/publication/p0939.htm . It's free!
Greetings from the Philippines,
Philippe - pbeauverd@hotmail.com
PS: by the way I love the commission with the Vision and Ultron. Fantastic!
Sorry for the delay in responding.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to The Story Of An Idea comic! I just downloaded it and it looks super great! Yeah, I'm a pretty big Moebius fan. It's cool to see his work here. So cool that you guys were able to get him to do that.
I'm glad you liked Shield and that you sought me out.
BWS's work has always been a big deal to me. I'm not sure how many other Marvel artists are in to Hergé's work, but yeah, I am.
Thanks again for the comment.
I don't have a Twitter account but I wanted to answer your question about the longest comic book delay you posted here. https://twitter.com/DustinWeaver12/status/964734621328928769
ReplyDeleteI don't know about series at other publishers but, S.H.I.E.L.D. has the third longest delay in resolving a comic book series at Marvel.
The Second longest delay goes to the 8 year and 11 month gap between Ghost Rider Volume 2 #93 in February 1998 and #94 in January 2007.
The longest delay at Marvel goes to the 13 year and 3 month gap between Ms. Marvel Volume 1 #23 April 1979 and issues #24 & #25 finally published July 1992 in Marvel Super-Heroes #10 and October 1992 in Marvel Super-Heroes #11 respectively.
Wow. So was Marvel sitting on those last two Ms. Marvel issues.
DeleteI think what might be unique to Shield is that it's been slowly worked on this whole time by the same creative team, including the same colorist. Jonathan Hickman has only recently written the final script to go with the pages I drew a long time ago now. We've never really moved on. It's been on our plates the whole time.
Thanks for that info. I'll share it on twitter too.
